Christy Fitzpatrick died on the 3rd of July 1988. He was 49 years old. Christy was a builder there
was nothing in the building trade that he couldn't do. He could build a house from to start to
finish on his own.
He lived in Leamington Spa with his wife Chrissie (The Woman to him). He was the Father of 8
children, from the oldest to the youngest was, Liz, Esther, William, Chrisopher, James, Eddie,
Shirley and Claire. He was diagnosed with Throat Cancer in December 1987 and was told he had 6
months to live. They weren't wrong!
Christy was a true hardworking Irishman who was proud of his family and a friend to all. He
enjoyed a pint with his brothers after work, they worked together, socialised together, a true
family man, his brother Derry never got over the death of Christy, they were so close and so similar
in thier ways, Derry also died young aged just 52, again of cancer! we take great comfort that they
are together again.
Its sad that he died so young he only got to see one of his 17 grandchildren who I know he would
have enjoyed. Christy was a quiet man, quite shy and always the perfect gentleman. Never have we
heard a bad word said about him. We would so love to have him here with us today, we feel that we
are missing out on so much not having him with us.
We will always love you Dad/Grandad. xox xox xox xox xox xox xox

To You Granddad From Nicole.xxx

Hi Granddad, It's Nicole. Me And Ella Are Irish Dancing Tomorrow At The Spa Centre. We Hope You Will Be Watching Over Us And I Hope You Are Proud Of Us. I Went To Ireland For The First Time For Nanny's Birthday. I Loved It, I Met Lizanne, Uncle Danny, Auntie Maria, Daniel And Richard. I Visited And Kissed The Blarney Stone. It Was Scary But I Did It! I Will Definetly Go There More With Mummy. Mummy Isn't Well At The Moment She Had To Go To Hospital, But Is Getting Better And Should Be Fine Soon, Me And Daddy And Dan Have Looked After Her Well. I Even Like Daddy's Cooking, I Didn't Even Know He COULD Cook Until Now! Daniel Is Doing Well With Football. I Will Write Again More Often. Always Thinking Of You, Wish I Met You. Love Always From Nicole.xxxxxxx

20 Years

Morning Dad,
20 years has now past and it still hurts. Miss you so much.

Your irish eyes weren't smiling,
The day you past away,
I miss you oh so much dad,
And think of you each day.
It was time for you to close your eyes
For God to take your hand,
To lead you up that stairway,
To a peaceful holy land

Love and miss you everyday xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Do you make them laugh in Heaven,
does your smile bring them good cheer?
Do you make the sun shine brighter,
like you did when you were here?
The very mention of your name,
the memories of your smile,
The little things you said and did,
are with us all the while.
You meant so very much to us,
there’s nothing left to say,
Except that without you here
there is no perfect day.
For no-one knows the heartache,
that lies behind our smiles,
no-one knows how many times
I have broken down & cried.
I want to tell you something
so there wont be any doubt,
you're so wonderful to think of,
but so hard to be without...
We hold you close within our hearts,
and there you shall remain.
To walk with us throughout our lives,
until we meet again xXxXxXxXx

A little bit of heaven fell from the sky one day and nestled on the ocean in a spot so far away; and when the angels found it sure it looked so sweet and fair they said 'suppose we leave it, for it looks so peaceful there' so they sprinkled it with stardust just to make the shamrocks grow 'tis the only place you'll find them no matter where you go; then they dotted it with silver to make its lakes so grand, and when they had it finished sure they called it IRELAND * * * * * * *
